1. No Account Required

quAIst does not require creating an account, logging in, or providing an email address, username, or password to use any part of the App.

2. No Personal Information Collected

For purposes of this Policy, "personal information" means information that identifies, or could reasonably be used to identify, a specific individual — such as a name, address, email address, phone number, persistent device or advertising identifiers, precise geolocation, or photos, audio, or video containing a child's image or voice.

quAIst does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, as defined above, from children or from any user. The App does not ask children to type, speak, upload photos, or share any personal details — there is no keyboard or text input anywhere in the App. All gameplay content (missions, questions, and creature interactions) is pre-written and built into the App. No gameplay data is sent to any AI service, server, or third party during play, and the App does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.

The App is designed to function entirely offline during gameplay. All fonts, images, sounds, and other assets are bundled directly with the App rather than loaded from external servers, so the App makes no network requests during play.

3. No Advertising

quAIst does not display any advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs or ad networks.

4. No Third-Party Data Sharing

Because quAIst does not collect personal information, there is no personal data to share with third parties, advertisers, or analytics companies.

5. Purchases

quAIst offers optional one-time in-app purchases to unlock additional content. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive, see, or store your payment information, billing details, or card numbers — this is handled solely by Apple/Google under their own privacy and payment terms. Refunds are handled entirely according to Apple's or Google's own refund policies; we do not independently grant or deny refunds.

6. Children's Privacy & Applicable Data Protection Laws

quAIst is directed at children and is designed from the ground up to comply with children's privacy and data protection laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU/UK GDPR provisions relating to children ("GDPR-K"), the UK's Age Appropriate Design Code ("AADC," also known as the ICO's Children's Code), Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), and the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA). Because we collect no personal information from any user, including children, no parental consent mechanism is required for data collection — there is no data collected to consent to. quAIst's zero-data-collection design, absence of behavioural profiling, absence of nudge techniques, and high-privacy defaults are consistent with the AADC's core standards. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in any form beyond what is described above. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at quaist.co@gmail.com and we will investigate and delete it promptly.

7. Parental Controls

A parental gate (a simple age-appropriate challenge) is required before any purchase can be completed and before accessing Parent Corner settings, to help ensure these actions are taken knowingly by an adult, not a child.

8. International Play

quAIst is available to play internationally. Because we do not collect personal information, there is generally no personal data transferred across borders in connection with your use of the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Since we do not collect contact information from users, we cannot notify you directly of changes — please check this page periodically.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal, non-commercial entertainment and educational purposes.

2. Intended Use

quAIst is designed for children aged 8–12 to be used with parental awareness. By downloading, installing, or first launching the App — including by tapping to accept these Terms if an in-app confirmation screen is presented — the adult responsible for the child's device confirms they are aware of and consent to the child's use of the App.

3. Purchases

The App offers optional one-time in-app purchases to unlock additional content. All purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. Refunds are handled entirely according to Apple's or Google's own refund policies — we do not independently grant or deny refunds, and nothing in these Terms limits any statutory refund or withdrawal rights you may have under the law of your country.

4. Platform Store Terms

Your download and use of the App are also subject to the respective terms and conditions of the platform stores where you acquired it:

• The Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions for apps downloaded from the Apple App Store.
• The Google Play Terms of Service for apps downloaded from the Google Play Store.

5. Disclaimer — No Professional Advice

Content in the App is for entertainment and general educational purposes only. It is not professional, medical, legal, or safety advice, and should not be relied upon as such.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lee Li Yun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App. Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited under the law of your country, including liability for gross negligence, fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or override any mandatory consumer protection or children's privacy rights you may have under the law of your own country, including but not limited to COPPA (United States) or GDPR/GDPR-K (European Union/United Kingdom).
